I am a visual junkie with an eclectic taste. AI allows me to explore an endless array of visual possibilities, curating the results and integrating them into my artwork. Sometimes ideas will stem from something that was triggered by a generated image. I use the resulting images and videos as a basis for art pieces that take it a step further, by building optical contraptions that present the work to the viewer in a nonlinear fashion, adding to the already existing element of curiosity and wonder in the hope of making them ask: “what exactly am i looking at?”
All of the art I create is based on personal experiences, thoughts and feelings. I use AI to understand myself better and to challenge myself. It is an outlet for my demons and angels.
The most unexpected thought I had was that my AI art is prophetic, and that maybe I should be dreaming up some positive things.
Since June 2022 I've been experimenting in non-prompting, i.e. keeping my prompts to a bare minimum of 3, 2 and sometimes just one word. My intent in doing this is to let go of the need to control the outcome, and instead allow the ai mechanisms do their own hallucinating, with a minimum amount of interference on my part. This has led to consistently interesting and surprising results. At times it feels like a kind of conversation. I've sometimes described it as art directing a very talented, very knowledgeable, very versatile, very disturbed artist.
My work has been showcased at Jerusalem Design Week, the ai film academy awards, Artefact AI Short Film Festival, Oculus NYC, and several leading ai art publications.
